ABOUT

My name is Louise. I was diagnosed with autism in my late forties.

This blog is my journey from late diagnosis, how I navigate the ups and downs of life, and the strategies I use to cope.

I also write about my lifestyle, my life experiences, and raising awareness about neurodiversity.

Autism is a spectrum, and it can look different in each person. This is one way autism can present.

This blog is for reference and education only, and not professional advice. Please consult a specialist for diagnosis or support.

Please like, comment and subscribe. I would love to read your ideas, thoughts and opinions.

  • Weather: The UK has a mild climate; it is not too hot in the summer and not too cold in the winter.
  • No war: There is no war.
  • Food: I have food to eat every day. There are so many countries around the world where nobody has food to eat.
  • Water: I can drink the water straight from the tap. I don’t have to buy bottled water to cook and clean my teeth.
  • History: People have preserved so much history. There are castles, monuments, museums, famous places and ancient sites.
  • Tea Culture: The UK has a fantastic tea culture, and I love to drink tea.
  • Diversity: There are people from so many backgrounds that create different views, ideas and cultures.
  • Food: There is a wide selection of different dishes created from diversity, such as roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, haggis, and curries.
  • Countryside: I live in the city, and after a short drive, I am out in the country.
  • Celebrations: There are different celebrations to enjoy because of the diversity.
  • Harry Potter Books: The birthplace of Harry Potter.
  • The Royal Family: They create tourism. People come from different countries around the world to see them.
  • Universities: Oxford and Cambridge are well-known universities.
  • Myths and legends: The Loch Ness monster is one of many.
  • No extreme weather: There are no volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, or tornadoes. Just the occasional hurricane.
  • Nature: A variety of birds, deer, and plants.
