When we treat people the way we want to be treated ourselves, it benefits us in many ways.

Reduces Conflict
When we treat others with respect, patience, kindness, and fairness, it reduces conflict so we can have better conversations and more positive interactions.
Builds Stronger Relationships
Our relationships become stronger through building trust, respect, valuing other people’s opinions, and it reduces misunderstandings because we are more likely to give others the chance to give their opinions as well as us give ours.
Healthier Communities
When we treat each other well, it builds healthier and safer communities. We will have empathy towards each other, put ourselves in each other’s shoes, show respect, and encourage us all to work as a team.
Moral Standards
I think we can all relate to this as treating each other well reduces the guilt of not doing the right thing, and we will generally feel better.
Final Thoughts
I think most of us can agree that we have to build a better environment for us all. We are less likely to hurt each other, create more happiness, have no regrets for the future, build stronger ties, kindness, fairness, and empathy, which starts with treating people how we want to be treated ourselves.
