The emotion I feel most often has to be determination. No matter how tired I am, I continue to push myself. It makes me smile when I achieve something new every day, and I pick myself up when life knocks me down.

Strategies to Stay Determined
- I assign a goal for that day, whether it is to write a rough draft of a blog post, edit a blog post, work on a language exercise or practise piano.
- I write what I want to achieve, and the time I want to take to achieve it.
- I stay positive and keep my focus on what I have to do.
- I keep myself organised by ticking off my list what I have achieved.
- Even though I push myself, I make my goals for that day realistic so I can achieve them.
- I keep a positive mindset, and if I don’t achieve what I want that day, I write a new goal and a list of how to achieve it for the next day.
- I ignore the things I cannot change that might affect my positive thinking to hold me back.
- I always think of the reason I want to achieve a goal.
- I break down the steps to achieving my goals into manageable chunks.
- Taking time for rest is also important as well as my goals.
- I learn from my mistakes when I don’t succeed.
- I tell myself I am not perfect and will not always get it right.
- It is important to keep a routine going so I know what I am doing and when.
- It doesn’t matter how small the goal; it is still a step in the right direction.
- I always celebrate what I achieve.
