ABOUT

My name is Louise. I was diagnosed with autism in my late forties.

This blog is my journey from late diagnosis, how I navigate the ups and downs of life, and the strategies I use to cope.

I also write about my lifestyle, my life experiences, and raising awareness about neurodiversity.

Autism is a spectrum, and it can look different in each person. This is one way autism can present.

This blog is for reference and education only, and not professional advice. Please consult a specialist for diagnosis or support.

Please like, comment and subscribe. I would love to read your ideas, thoughts and opinions.

Mindful Reading: Behind the Scenes of This Blog

I write this blog from my personal experience. I cannot write for everyone with neurodiversity. I know my own strengths and challenges, but not other people’s. I am diagnosed with autism, but I am unaware of any additional co-occurring conditions I might have. Everyone’s experiences are different.

This blog is for information and raising awareness, not for diagnosis. I am not a researcher or a scientist, and everyone’s journey is unique.

I do a little research and include sources at the bottom of most of my posts, so everyone can read them and find basic information. Research will progress, and as time passes, we will know more.

I update my posts as much as possible to keep the language inclusive. I am still trying to understand myself and my condition, which has not been easy.
